Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the variation of the graft volume that can be obtained in the intraoral autogenous graft donor sites in Turkish society and the bone density of these grafts in hounsfield units by age and gender. The data of the patients whose Cone Beam Computed Tomography images were obtained in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology of Istanbul University were analyzed retrospectively. CBCT imaging of all patients who were retrospectively evaluated was made with the Scanora 3Dx brand CBCT device (Scanora® 3Dx, Soredex, Tuusula, Finland), which is used in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology of Istanbul University. The data of 79 patients between the ages of 20-60 who did not have any pathology in the Ramus, Tuber, and symphysis regions, had second molars and lower incisors in the mouth, no third molar teeth, no pathology in the relevant areas, and no generalized vertical or horizontal bone loss were analyzed. For the ramus autogenous graft, the donor site boundaries were determined as 2 mm distal to the second molar tooth anteriorly and the ascending ramus posteriorly, 2 mm superior to the inferior alveolar nerve and medially 2 mm lateral to the inferior alveolar nerve. For the Tuber autogenous graft, the donor site boundaries were determined as 2 mm distal to the second molar tooth anteriorly, the junction border of the maxilla with the pterygoid bone posteriorly, and the sinus floor superiorly. For the symphysis autogenous graft, the donor site boundaries were determined as 5 mm inferior to the apex of the canine teeth in the superior, the pogonion point in the inferior, 5 mm anterior to the mental foramen in the lateral and the lingual cortex in the medial. As a result of the study, although the Ramus volumes of women are higher than men, the data of the symphysis region show the opposite. In terms of bone density, women have a denser bone than men in the Tuber region. There is no overall significant difference in age groups.
