Abstract (EN)

10. ABSTRACT10.1. IntroductionBreast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women is second only to lung cancer, cause of death. Breast cancers occurred in %70-80 invasive ductal carcinomas. Our purpose and goal for the early diagnosis of breast carcinoma correctly interpreted radiological images, correctly clinical follow-up, early biopsy, early starting of treatment, life expectancy and improve the quality of life. In our study, radiology, physical examination, and screening and emphasize the importance of age, and to eliminate the difference between pathology and radiology findings.10.2.Materials and MethodsIn this study, during 2011 and 2012, Karadeniz Technical University, Department of General Surgery clinic of 110 patients diagnosed with invasive ductal CA subjects were used. These patients in outpatient preoperative physical examination, patients who used ultrasound and / or mammography after surgery were compared with pathological findings. This study is a prospective study evaluation of parameters SPSS, McNemar, Wilcoxon methods were used.10.3. Resultsİn this study biopsies are performed according to clinical and radiologic examinations. Surgery is performed for invasive ductal carcinoma diagnosis and compared with radiological findings. Biopsies made in patients with mamographic findings were in 40(%36,4) patients malign macrocalcification and with ultrasonic findings were solid mass formation in 70 (%63,6) patients. There were no significant difference when the mass formations were compared. In patients that pathological lymphadenopathy detected in ultrasound and mamographic examinations 34 (%30,9) patients in cytological observations in 63(%57) patients pathological lymphadenopathy is detected. The average size of the masses detected ultrasonographic and mamographically 2,89 cm (1-10 cm) but in specimen the size was 3,45 cm (1-13 cm) and this difference was statistically significant. (p:0,00). In our study initial breast cancer age was 25, and the patients? rate below 40 age was %15,4 and below 30 was %2,7. With further examinations in 5 (%4,5) patients distant metastasis were detected.İn conclusion initial breast cancer age was 25, and the patients? rate below 40 age was %15,4 and below 30 was %2,7. These findings give an idea about breast cancer screening should be earlier. The numbers and the sizes of the masses were detected more in pathologcally examinations than those radiologically detected. The mass structure had no difference when compared. In our study preoperative ultrasound and mammography seems to be less sufficient to evaluate the size of mass and number of the lymphadenopathies but more sensitive for evaluating the structre of the mass.Key Words: Breast cancer, early diagnosis, long-life
