Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine how children's and youth literature came to the agenda in Iran and through which historical processes it has taken its current form. In order to reveal this historical process, it is important to examine and research the inclusion of children and youth in the ancient texts created in the Iranian geography and in the works of classical Persian literature compiled after Islam. Another important aim of this study is to show the cultural roots of the modern education received by Iranian children and youth today by providing information about the cultural environment in which children lived and the education they received in the historical process. This study, which we have created in order to understand Iranian children's and youth literature within the framework of its historical course, consists of three parts. The first part, which takes into account the social, cultural and educational conditions of children and youth living in the pre-Islamic and post-Islamic periods, is divided into five parts. In the first two parts, the traces of the child's face in the selected ancient texts and works of classical Persian literature were tried to be captured, and in the other three parts, it was tried to determine the periods when the foundations of children's literature were laid, when it came to the agenda and when children-oriented books were started to be written. In the second part, Iranian children's and youth literature genres are classified and these sections are supported with sample texts. In the third part, information about the lives and books of the main Iranian authors who have written in the field of children's and youth literature is given. In addition, thirteen Iranian children's and youth writers that we could reach were interviewed and the Turkish texts of these interviews were added to this section. Our aim in our interviews with Iranian authors is to see what kind of a perspective they have on the children in their target audience and to access information about the factors that are effective in the development of children's and youth literature in Iran from the language of the authors.
