Abstract (EN)
This study has been prepared in order to measure the current awareness of young people about occupational health and safety (OHS) and to compare the effectiveness of the presentation (one-way) model and interaction (two-way / interactive) models, which are among the education models that can be applied to increase this awareness, in the context of efficiency. The basic method of the study is to measure the change in consciousness and knowledge level by subjecting the sample to presentations and interactive studies that include basic OHS concepts in an online education environment. The research was designed with experimental design, pretest-posttest and control group. The study group of the research consisted of Anatolian High School students between the ages of 15-17; 39 for the presentation group, 39 for the interaction group, 38 for the control group, a total of 116 people. The data collection tool used in the research is an achievement test consisting of 19 questions prepared by the researcher by taking the opinions of academicians who are experts in their fields. The research data obtained from the achievement test applied to the students were analyzed and interpreted with the SPSS package program. In the study, two-way analysis of variance was used to determine the difference between groups in repeated measurements. In the results of two-way analysis of variance, it was observed that there was a significant difference between the scores of the presentation group, interaction group and control group (p=0.000<α=0.01). The averages of the pre-test and post-test scores for each group were determined by one-way ANOVA analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the presentation model also increased the level of OHS knowledge, but it was seen that the interaction model was a more effective model. In the study, pairwise comparisons were made with two dependent samples "t" test in order to reveal the differences before and after the training more clearly. As a result of the research, it was seen that among the groups starting from the same starting point in OHS training, the interaction group got statistically more significant and higher scores than the presentation group and the control group. Finally, the frequency distributions of the answers given by the students regarding the correct answers to the achievement test items were interpreted in detail in order to determine to what extent learning was increased in the presentation, interaction and control groups for each item.
