Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the relationship between work-life balance and professional commitment among female psychologists. Conducted through qualitative research methods, the study analyzes the effects of emotional, normative, and continuance dimensions of professional commitment on work-life balance, alongside the impact of gender roles and family responsibilities on these dynamics. Findings reveal that female psychologists with high professional commitment develop emotional ties to their profession but face an increased likelihood of work-family conflict. Particularly when childcare and domestic responsibilities are predominant, disruptions in work-life balance elevate the risk of occupational burnout. However, flexible work arrangements and organizational support mechanisms were found to help female psychologists maintain work-life balance while sustaining their professional commitment. The study underscores the need to evaluate the relationship between professional commitment and work-life balance through a gender lens and highlights the importance of organizational policies tailored to women's needs. Recommendations include enhancing flexibility in human resource practices, providing psychological support, and expanding career development opportunities.
