Ever-changing environmental conditions, harder living conditions, increase in demand and non-satisfaction of expectations further complicate the daily lives of individuals and as a result, individuals have great difficulty in maintaining the balance between work and family life. In this regard, work-life balance is the most important target which is expected to be achieved by individuals, who experience business and family life interaction, and family members. Ensuring work-life balance is as much as important for communities in which working individuals live. The main purpose of this study is to examine the effect of work-life balance of employees in construction sector on organizational commitment and turnover intention. In the research, sub-dimensions of work-life balance consist of work-life harmony, ignoring daily life, sparing time for him/herself and daily life only consisting of the work. On the other hand, organizational commitment and turnover intention are examined under one dimension. The research population comprises of 375 employees out of approximately 1500 employees living in Taşoluk Town of Sinanpaşa district in Afyon. So as to determine whether there are significant relationships among the dimensions in the study, correlation analysis was utilized. In addition, multiple regression analysis was used in order to specify the effect of work-life balance on organizational commitment and turnover intention. Also, T-Test and ANOVA was utilized in order to determine work-life balances, organizational commitments and turnover intentions of employees in line with their demographical features. Reliabilities of the scales in the research were tested via Cronbach's Alpha. As a result of the multiple regression analysis, it has been determined attitudes of employees as to work-life balance are effective on their organizational commitment and turnover intentions. Employees' perceived work-life balances, organizational commitments and turnover intentions differ according to their demographical features.
