Abstract (EN)
Ensuring the work-life balance of employees is too important for organizations. Work-life balance which is the same meaning the level of job and life satisfaction of individiuals has to be provided by organizations to get productive workforce. Work and life can not be thought as independent fields; thus, satisfaction or dissatisfaction in one from these two fields affects the other. That's why this research was conducted to determine satisfaction in the work context, whether the quality of life, defined as a cognitive process, varies according to demographic characteristics and whether there is relationship between two types of satisfaction in the quality-of-life inventory. The study was carried out in an independent auditing company which has national and international activity with 194 employees who are working in five different departments in Istanbul. A 2-scales questionnaire consisting of 3 sections and 34 items was administered. Because of mising values, 166 employees' datas were used to be analyzed. Frequency and percentage distribution was used for demographic variables; moreover, t-test and one-way ANOVA test was used for testing hypotheses with IBM SPSS Statistics 20.00. Tukey and Tamhane test was used to evaluate variances; besides, Pearson correlation was made use for determining the relationship between two variables. Datas were analyzed through total scores obtained from the scales. As a result of the analyzes, there was statistically significant difference between income level, house working time, work position, maritial status, age, departmant variables and job satisfaction. However, there was no statistically significant difference between gender, educational level, number of the child and job satisfaction. As another results, there was statistically significant difference between income level, house working time, maritial status, departmant variables and life satisfaction. Whereas, no significantly difference between work position, educational level, gender, age variables and life satisfaction. In addition, there was statistically significant difference between income level, house work, maritial status, department both life and jobb satisfaction. Finally, there was a positively mid level of relationship between both job satisafaction life satisfaction. Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Life Satisfaction, Demographic Variables
