Investigation of the effect of recreative activities performed by individuals with hearing special needs on quality of life, the case of Gi̇resun province

INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF RECREATIVE ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY INDIVIDUALS WITH HEARING SPECIAL NEEDS ON QUALITY OF LIFE, THE CASE OF GİRESUN PROVINCE Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of recreational activities performed by individuals with hearing special needs on the quality of life (Giresun province example). Materials and methods:The population of the research consists of individuals with hearing special needs living in Giresun. The sample of the study consists of 80 people selected by simple random sampling method from these participants. Individuals with hearing special needs; The demographic characteristics and active sports life, participation in recreational activities, the impact on their quality of life, the types of activities they participate in, and the effects of these activities on individuals were asked, and the results were shown. In this study, quantitative methods were used in order to determine the level of the relationship between the demographic information of individuals with hearing special needs who do sports and those who do not, and the quality of life of recreation. Statistical analysis of the findings of the effect of recreational activities on the quality of life of individuals with hearing special needs was made in the IBM-SPSS-21 package program. Conclusion: In line with the data obtained in the study, it is revealed whether the quality of life has an effect on the participation of individuals in recreational activities. Results: According to the information we obtained from our research, it can be said that the quality of life of individuals with hearing special needs increases as their participation in recreational activities increases. Accordingly, it is thought that directing individuals with hearing special needs to recreational activities will have a positive effect on the quality of life of these individuals. Recreational activities should be used in order to increase the quality of life and to establish a direct connection in individuals with hearing special needs.
