Iskilip, which has hosted many civilizations and has a rich historical culture, is an ancient town where its commitment to its traditional culture and folk beliefs continues. In the visit phenomenon, which is one of the research topics of the sociology of religion and proceeds to be influential today, the effects of pre-Islamic Turkish belief culture as well as the effects of folk religiosity combined with Islamic motifs and the reflections of the practices made as a result of these effects continue to be seen. Our study, which is limited to the center of Iskilip and its villages, deals with the religious places of visit in the region, the connection of these places visited by the people with the sacred, and the reasons for visiting, and as a result, the belief structure of the individuals in Iskilip region. In this study, holy places like shrines, tombs, trees, water, hills, etc. visited with the thought of being sacred in the center and villages of Iskilip have been identified. The sanctity of some of the places in these places, which are considered sacred, continues, and while various rituals are performed with visits, it is seen that some of them lose their importance over time and are on the verge of being forgotten. Our study consists of two parts that proceed with the introduction part and the conclusion part. In the introduction part of the research, the subject, purpose, importance and methodology of the research are mentioned. In the first chapter, due to the sanctity of the subject of visit, the concept of the sacred as a religious concept, the phenomenon of visiting and theoretical approaches in the phenomenon of visiting are discussed. In the conclusion part, an evaluation of the information obtained as a result of our research was made. Our study, which is based on the methods and techniques of the sociology of religion, consists of both the theoretical part based on the sources and the field research based on the field investigation. Various resources such as books, articles, encyclopedias, master's and doctoral theses related to the theoretical part of our study were examined, and libraries and the internet were also made use of.
