Abstract (EN)
Hayreddin Karaman is one of Turkey's leading İslamic jurists and is renowned for his studies in the field of fiqh. In addition to his numerous works on İslamic family law, he has also published articles and opinion pieces on various platforms. Karaman stands out for his approach, which is rooted in classical fiqh tradition while also taking into account contemporary social realities. This study examines Hayreddin Karaman's views on family law and evaluates them in light of classical fiqh sources. Our study consists of three main chapters. The first chapter discusses Karaman's life and scholarly persona. The second chapter evaluates his views on the marriage contract, the pre-marriage process, and the consequences of the marriage contract. The third chapter analyzes his perspectives on divorce.
