Abstract (EN)

Sport, play and entertainment is an issue that has existed in the psychological and physiological structure of humankind since its existence and has emerged in different forms in every period. In fact, with this fact revealed by hundreds of activities depicted on the walls as a result of archaeological excavations, it has revealed the need of people in this matter even in the most primitive societies. Cos a human cannot always be in the same condition. Organizing daily activities and activities that will motivate him / her working life will contribute to a person's social relations, psychological and physiological development. Islam is a perfect religion sent to every age. As it touches every field of life, it also touched on the field of sports, games and entertainment, has drawn general frameworks, and has allowed such activities to a certain extent. As a matter of fact, the Messenger of Allah presented the best examples of this, determined the content, purpose and target of sports, games and entertainment according to the needs of society and time, and carried out activities that covered the psychological and sociological structure. According to these issues, in the first part; we touched upon the concepts of sports, games and entertainment and their psychological, sociological and economic dimensions; we also discussed the concept of gambling in the first part because it has the capacity to be used for all kinds of sports, games and entertainment. Today, sports, games and entertainment activities have developed with the effect of modernization and technological advances, while some have appeared recently, others have retained their former state. Therefore, it is important to examine the activities that existed in the past and the sports and games that have emerged today and to evaluate them in an Islamic way together with all the information previously revealed. Because today's Muslims cannot fully understand the role of Islam in sports, play and entertainment, what is acceptable is forbidden and what is prohibited is acceptable. Therefore, after evaluating these issues from an Islamic perspective, it is important to reveal the arbitration and results made. In this direction, in the second part, we first discussed the sports that existed at the time of the Messenger of Allah then, we evaluated the sports activities that are widely played today in terms of Islam. In the third part, we discussed with the most common games and entertainment activities according to controversial ideas and thoughts of Islamic scholars. The purpose of our third section; Recently, the extreme games, entertainment and practices that go beyond Islam in Muslim societies. The third part, in which we seek answers to the question of how games and entertainment should be in Islam, will answer this question. Therefore, in this study, "What should sports, games and entertainment be in Islam?" We will try to find an answer to the question in accordance with the views of the Quran, Sunnah and Islamic scholars, by making use of the primary and secondary evidence sources and fiqh judgments.
