Abstract (EN)

Senegal faces the essential need for investment to ensure the development of her infrastructure. With a banking rate still low (17%), Islamic finance can be a new funding channel. Small and medium-size enterprises represent 80% of all enterprises in Senegal which is a considerable lever against poverty, precarity, unemployment and underemployment. The purpose of this study is to seek the modes of Islamic financing offered to SMEs and the needs of SMEs. The researcher will also compare the financial performance of Islamic and Conventional banks in Senegal, using a sample of 20 listed banks. The descriptive statistic will be used base on CAMEL. As the researcher, I plan to measure the performance in term of Capital adequacy, asset quality, management, earning and liquidity. T-test analysis will be used to test the hypothesis. Keywords: Islamic Finance, conventional banking, SMEs, CAMEL
