Relationship between efficiency of making use of information technologies and organizational learning in organizations: A case study in Kutahya health organizations

The basic aim of this study was to look into effect of the efficiency of making use of information technologies on organizational learning in health institutions.Our study was composed of three parts. In the first part, information systems and such independent variables of the application part of the study as internet, intranet, database, information hardwares and softwares were mentioned. Moreover, this section also involved the definition of information and its increasing importance. In the second part of our study, learning organizations, their disciplines and importance were mentioned, and also the relation between information technologies and organizational learning was analysed theoretically. Lastly, an application carried out in the health institutions in Kütahya in order to measure the effect of the efficiency of making use of information technologies on organizational learning, and the SPSS analysis of the data acquired from this application through survey method were presented. In this context, internet, intranet, database, information hardware and software were considered as independent variables, while organizational learning was considered as dependent variable. t-test and Anova analysis showed that gender, age, education level, service period in the current health institution and the total service period had no significance on organizational learning. The multi-regression analysis showed that the independent variables affected the dependent at the rate of 67 %.Keywords: Internet, Information, Information Technologies, Learning, Learning Organizations.
