The Effect of The Idea of Ismat al-Anbiya on The Interpretation of The Quran: The Example Of Mawdudı and Tebatebayi

Our study aims to investigate the effects of the idea of the impeccability of the Prophets on explicating the Holy Qur'an within the framework of the commentaries in the explications, with the sample of the acts marked by sin within the Verses about the Prophets. The ideology of impeccability of the Prophets, which means they were protected from the sins, has been considered necessary in order to be able to fulfil the mission of Prophethood and not to go for nothing the benefits of sending Prophets. The impeccability title of the Prophets has been discussed today because of there are Verses both states the superior abilities of Prophets and which are warning them. Islamic scholars has been explained the Verses extensively and attempted to bring into compliance with the ideology of impeccability. It's kept its significance among the people from past to present that how those Verses which seems as contradictory with the purity of the Prophets are being understood by the Islamic scholars. The sects of Islam are in agreement on necessity of the impeccability title of the Prophets however they just conflicted on the topics like the time, limitation and features of the impeccability. In our research it's investigated comparatively how the subject was handled and interpreted in the Mawdudı's book named "Tefhimu'l Qur'an ve Tebatebayi's el-Mîzân fî Tefsîri'l- Qur'an."
