Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect on the competitiveness of businesses that implement the ISO 9000 quality management system. At the same time, strategic decisions of global businesses in different sectors are explained. Businesses need to successfully implement diversification, withdrawal and competition strategies in order to ensure their continuity in the domestic and international environment. Today, with the effect of developing technology, businesses have tried to continue their existence by concentrating on the areas in which they operate, gaining market power or switching to a different sector from their current business activities. Many businesses need many strategies such as keeping up with the innovations brought by technology and competition in the international market in order to continue their existence. The rapid increase in competition enables businesses to understand the importance of the concept of quality. To be able to provide goods or services of a quality that can respond to the requests or needs of customers in a timely manner is to create the quality of the system in which these goods or services are produced. Therefore, in this context, Porter's 5 power models and the strategic decisions of global businesses and the effect of quality are explained with examples in order to create competitive advantage. In this study, the effect of the quality management system on the competitiveness is investigated by the survey method applied to the employees in a factory.
