Abstract (EN)

In 13th century, kings and knights wanted to conquer the area where Muslims live in Iberian Peninsula and they fought for it. Nowadays, it is known as "Reconquista". The most significant Reconquista movements were conducted by Fernando III and Alfonso X El Sabio. Soldiers, who fought for Reconquista, conducted a strong propaganda against to âism, prophet and Muslim. When these combined with the experiences of people who are on the border of Muslim and Christian world, the image of these members of the religion is established for Christians. This study investigates the image of Muslims in the context of the conflict between the two worlds. In this period, it is also tried to analyze good-bad relationship in discourses, the physical image of Muslims, unknown culture and supporting anti-Islamic actions during the Crusades as interpretation of the World and the justified elements. All in all, in the study, in addition to the current negative Muslim image, there is also a desire to see and understand whether there is another approach.
