Abstract (EN)

In this study, rose of Isparta (Rosa damascana Mill's) pruning waste which groves in Göller Yöresi were used for pyrolysis process to find out the affecting factor and levels of liquid product by using Taguchi method. Liquid product amount was chosen as performance characteristic and studies were carried on maximizing the amount. Fixed bed reactor was used for experimental studies. Pyrolysis temperature (350, 400, 450, 500, 550 and 700oC), heating rate (50, 100, 300oC/min) and a sweep gas (N2) flow rate (50, 100, 200 cm3/min) were taken as effective factors and levels and the effect of these were investigated on the amount of liquid product. According to ANOVA results maximum liquid product amount was reached at 500ºC temperature, 100 ºC/min heating rate and 100 cm3/min sweep gas (N2) flow rate with pyrolysis conditions and average pyrolysis conversion was found 68.03%. FTIR and 1H-NMR spectra were taken and elemental analysis was performed on the liquid product obtained from study. Furthermore, liquid product fractionated by column chromatography, the fractions' FTIR spectra and elemental analyses were conducted.
