Abstract (EN)
For more than a century, the progressing Israel-Palestine problem, when historic perspective evaluated, has become prominent with the existence of several common interests and problems. In this study, the role of Great Britain Empire in the process leading to the establishment of the State of Israel, among the diversity of interests and problems, is discussed in a chronological framework and in two parts. In the fisrt part, the policy of Britain in its approach to the Palestine Region before the mandate and the process of transforming Zionism into British State Policy are discussed. In the second part, within the framework of the mandate period, the result in the British withdrawal from the region by not being able to continue inconsistent policies until the last years of mandate administration was investigated. The study, which was conducted with the process tracking management, was based on the assumption of British influence in the establishment of Israel. It aimed to contribute to the literature by defending the role of Britain in the establishment of Israel and the hypothesis that incostistent policies caused the Palestine-Israel conflict to become chronic. Another aim of the study, in such a global problem that caused the death and injury of thousands of people, it was aimed to highlight the mistakes made in the past and avoid their repetition and to draw attention to the problem in a realistic framework in order to take permanent solution-oriented steps.
