A research to examinate the relationship between the psychological effect of unemployment on individuals and unemployment attributation styles

Unemployment is one of the important global problems of today's working life. In the process of unemployment, individuals experience various psychological problems depending on factors such as gender, education and age. This thesis study aims to examine the effect of styles of attributing unemployment on the psychological effects of unemployment on the socio-psychological effects caused by unemployment by addressing the psychological effects of unemployment. The sample of the research consists of 204 unemployed participants from different age groups. Questionnaire was used as a data collection technique in the research. The obtained data were analyzed using the SPSS 23 program. The results obtained from the research show that the psychological effects of unemployment differ according to demographic characteristics. In addition, the results of the research reveal that the psychological effect of unemployment on individuals differs according to the way they attribute unemployment. The results obtained within the scope of the study show that unemployment causes significant psychological problems in individuals and the level of psychological problems varies according to the styles of attribution of unemployment. In this context, it is thought that it would be beneficial to consider this situation in the studies to be carried out on unemployment.
