We are exposed to stress in every aspect of our daily life. Stress is a part of our life in today's modern society and is expressed as the disease of the age. It is not possible to completely eliminate stress. For this reason, individuals need to be able to manage stress and determine the factors that can cause stress in order to be productive and continue their lives. Healthcare professionals work under intense stress in their business life. The main duty of health workers is to protect the health of individuals, to treat them in case of illness and to save their lives. They need to cope with stress and be protected from more stress in order to be able to work without losing their productivity while fulfilling their duties. The realization of the goals and objectives of the organizations is only possible with the organizational commitment of the individuals. Employees who do not feel committed to the institution they work for often seek employment and harm their institutions and themselves with their job changes. This study was carried out with health workers working in ambulances of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Emergency Aid and Life Saving Directorate. A total of 225 people participated in the survey. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a significant relationship between the total score of the coping with stress scale and the total score of the organizational commitment scale. In addition, the methods of coping with stress and organizational commitment were analyzed in terms of demographic characteristics such as gender, age, marital status, educational status, duties, income status, number of children, tenure and total tenure. The results showed that there is a statistically significant difference between the methods of coping with stress according to demographic characteristics and the monthly income-expense ratio; When the sub-dimensions of coping with stress were examined, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference in terms of gender, income-expenditure ratio and total working time in terms of some sub-dimensions. There is a statistically significant difference between the scale of organizational commitment and the ratio of task, income and expense according to demographic characteristics; When the sub-dimensions of the organizational commitment scale were examined, it was determined that there was no significant difference.
