Abstract (EN)
In parallel with the developing technology, the desire of human beings to have a better and more livable environment, and the awareness of the development of combating natural disasters and especially earthquakes bring some innovations in the field of construction and construction. It is one of the unchangeable facts of our country that we face the reality of earthquakes, since most of our lands are located in an earthquake zone. There has been a great loss of life and property in the earthquakes that have taken place until today. In our country, which is located on one of the two active seismic belts in the world, it is one of the top priorities to determine the quality of the actual material in the existing structure, against natural disasters, especially earthquakes, or in the repair and strengthening of structures damaged in an earthquake. In order to determine the earthquake risk, it is of great importance to take earthquake risk inventories of buildings. One of the methods used to determine the quality of concrete used in reinforced concrete structures is non-destructive testing methods. In this study, the earthquake risk levels of the reinforced concrete buildings in the Avcılar region of Istanbul, whose construction was completed before 2000, will be determined by using non-destructive testing methods. Rebound values will be determined by performing non-destructive tests on different bearing elements with a concrete test hammer. At the same time, it will be determined whether there are carrier system irregularities in the buildings. And these data will be analyzed in detail and an earthquake risk ranking will be made. By examining the rebound values, it will be possible to have an idea about the compressive strength. As a result, the current situation of the reinforced concrete and masonry buildings in the Avcılar Region of Istanbul will be revealed and the earthquake risk levels will be determined.
