Abstract (EN)

In heating and cooling installation systems, undesirable substances such as dissolved oxygen, suspended solids, organic and inorganic compounds, which enter the system with over time, cause deposit formation and corrosion on the inner surfaces of boilers, equipment, and pipelines. In time, this corrosion leads to a reduction in pipe wall thickness, while deposit layers act as insulation on heat transfer surfaces, reducing the efficiency of heat transfer surface areas. In this study, chemical cleaning and protective programs, which are among the measures that can be taken to address such problems, were analyzed. The average temperature values for the heating seasons of 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 were determined, and the theoretical energy requirement of the building, as well as the theoretical natural gas consumption was calculated. These theoretical consumption values were compared with the actual monthly natural gas consumption data, and the effectiveness of the applied chemical cleaning and protective program was analyzed. In the study, in the years following the implementation, it was determined that in the years following the implementation, the theoretical and actual natural gas consumption values converged, indicating a decrease in energy waste and an increase in system efficiency. Moreover, an analysis of the monthly natural gas consumption-time graphs revealed that, despite minor deviations in certain months, the overall trend shifted towards reduced consumption in the years following the implementation.
