An implementation study to detect occupational health and safety legal legislation deficiencies of workplaces quickly and easily

This thesis is about an application study to quickly and easily identify occupational health and safety legislation deficiencies of workplaces. Occupational Safety Specialists face various difficulties when identifying and reporting legislative deficiencies. In order to alleviate the difficulties they face and to ensure effective management of occupational safety legislation, an application has been developed. In this study, it is investigated whether there is a need for this application and whether it will be beneficial. The first two chapters of the thesis were prepared by reviewing the existing literature. In the third chapter, a focus group study, one of the qualitative research methods, was conducted and the participants filled out questionnaires after using the application. 8 The data obtained from the questionnaires filled out by the pilot users were analyzed with the interpretative phenomenology method and the results were revealed. There are many difficulties that Occupational Safety Specialists face when making notifications and one of these difficulties is that there is a lot of legal legislation and it is difficult to follow. It was concluded that the application developed on this problem will significantly benefit Occupational Safety Specialists and speed up the processes. This study presents an innovative approach that will contribute to more effective implementation of legislation in the field of occupational health and safety. As a result of the focus group interviews, it is predicted that there is a need for such an application and that the developed application will facilitate the work of occupational safety experts and create healthier and safer working conditions in workplaces.
