Muslim conqests in Italy

The aim of this thesis is to give information about the conquests of the Muslims on Italy. For this reason, the geography of Italy and the communities that dominated the region until the conquest of the Muslims were mentioned in chronological order. Then, following the conquest of Sicily, conquests on the lands of Italy were mentioned. The conquests of the Muslims in Italy that started with the Aglebis, the emirates they established, the Fatimids who ended the Aglebis domination in the region and replaced them, and the Muslims who continued their existence under the Norman rule were mentioned. In this process, the contributions of Muslims to civilization in Sicily and Italy and their effects on the Renaissance are also discussed.
