Examination of the effects of Italian singing education on Russian singing education

This research covers the historical development of the art of opera and Bel Canto style which born in Italy; while conveying important composers, schools formed, pedagogical approaches and certain methods, it is aimed to examine the stages of vocal education in Russia under the same headings. It is important to show that Italian singing education has an important place in pedagogical paradigms in the formation and development of Russian singing education and to provide information about the subject for Turkish singing students. An extensive literature search was conducted on the reserch topic. As a reflection of the historical process, the effects of the art of opera born in Italy, Bel Canto style and singing education on Russian operas, singing style and singing education, have formed a theoretical and practical model. However, as a feature of the Russian tradition, pedagogy and discipline are an ideal synthesis of education and they have drawn a stable image in singing education.
