Abstract (EN)

Ionic liquids, with a general definition, are salts that are liquid at temperatures below 100°C. Research into ionic liquids is increasing day by day as they are considered designer molecules for use in the chemical and biological sectors. Due to these advantageous properties, ionic liquids have also been intensively studied pharmacologically. The antiproliferative effects of ionic liquids used in this thesis on lung cancer and colon cancer cell lines were investigated, and as a result, an antimetastatic evaluation was carried out by migration analysis. In addition, the expression levels of some genes that are effective in the migration of cancer cells of the effective compounds were analyzed. According to the obtained data, it was concluded that diethylenetriamine salicylate is effective on metastasis. In addition, it was determined that diethylenetriamine mercaptoacetate has the potential to induce angiogenesis. The fact that the studied compounds suppress metastasis and support angiogenesis suggests that they may also be effective in wound healing, and an in vitro scratch test was performed on human skin fibroblast cells. As a result of the analysis, statistically significant results could not be obtained.
