Travelogues are important sources that reveal the geographical, physical, economic and social aspects of places visited. The people who wrote the travelogues were called travellers. Although the travelers have visited these places voluntarily and with a bit of curiosity, recording and obtaining information are among their purposes. Travelers immortalized their trips by taking various notes during their trips. In this way, they presented this information to the reader and the necessary units, and other people could have information about the places visited. Travelers from Europe and other continents came to the Ottoman Empire. In the 19th century, the number of these travelers increased. In this study, the observations of the travelers who came to Eastern Anatolia were examined. Arrangements were needed for travelers to make these trips. In line with this need, a written document was obtained from certain institutions and a tour was taken. These documents are also called murur memorandums. In the study, the situation of the Armenians living in Eastern Anatolia was conveyed in line with the observations of five British travelers who traveled to Anatolia in the 19th century. As a result of the study, information about the situation and life of the Armenians was given based on the traveler's reports.
