Comparative analysis of marriage problematic axis with "Elective Affinities" by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe and Mehmet Rauf's "September"

Marriage is the smallest but most important institution of society in which the human line can feel the power of creation in the most powerful and concrete way. In our study, the association of marriage unity; etymological, sociological, anthropological, historical, philosophical and literary fields. From the Archaic period to the present, we began to examine the history of marriage with important encyclopedias, dictionaries, theoretical books and an academic introduction. Thus, in order to understand how Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Mehmet Rauf both reflect marriage, the changes and variations of the union are very important. While explaining how the union of marriage is explained in the field of law and in the religious field, we also examined how their religion and law affect marriage in both works. Because unity of marriage, with the existence of civilization in the human line, needed sanctity and legality. The aim of this study is to compare marriage in German literary work The Elective Affinities (1809) and in Turkish literary work September (1901) novel. Goethe is an important writer for both the German literature and world literature. Rauf is one of the important writers of Turkish literature. Goethe and Rauf are both writers of different religion, language, race, age and cultures. Comparative literature, which is the main area of our study, has helped us by comparing the importance and depth of both authors against each other. In comparison, we presented psychoanalytic and archetypal arguments. Together with all these scientific data, in the light of the writings of Goethe and Rauf, we have examined the unity of marriage and brought an original work to the literary world.
