Abstract (EN)

This study aims to compare the anxiety levels of students who do Judo and those who do not. Within the scope of the study, a semi-structured interview form and Liebowitz social anxiety scale were applied with 100 licensed judo athletes who received judo training in clubs in Samsun province and 100 participants who did not receive judo training. In the analysis of quantitative data in the research; The collected data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and t test analysis with SPSS 22.0 program. The analysis of the qualitative data, on the other hand, was performed using the Nvio 11 for Windows program, one of the qualitative research analysis programs, to analyze the data obtained from the research with descriptive data analysis. The problem statement of the study, "The situation of managing attention and concentration in the training of 12-16-year-old judo athletes; What are the positive or negative effects of Judo training and training on anxiety level? " In line with the research, it was concluded that the training had negative effects on the anxiety level of the participants. It has been observed that the training of the participants should be supported in terms of managing attention and concentration, and in this context, it is possible to achieve high-level sports success and reduce the anxiety levels of the athletes.
