Abstract (EN)
This study will focus on the first five emperors of the Roman Empire from Augustus, a member of the Julius-Claudius dynasty, to Nero, and will focus on the actions of the Roman Empire in Anatolia. Anatolia, provinces, dependent kingdoms, border arrangements, legions, coins and the God-Emperor understanding will be discussed based on ancient sources. Roman history is an intensively studied field in Turkey and around the world in various languages. These studies are sometimes on wars, rebellions, legions, provinces or a special subject based on archaeology, and sometimes on Anatolia or provinces such as Asia, Bithynia and Pontus, Galatia. In this respect, our study will focus on events during the reign of the emperors of the Julius-Claudian dynasty from a slightly broader perspective. Rome's interest in Anatolia, the place and importance of the lands in Anatolia in Roman politics and economy, the arrangements and wars the Roman Empire made to hold these regions will form the basis of our study. In addition, the cities and colonies established by the first five Roman emperors within the framework of their administrative arrangements will also be included. This important information is also included in our study and we will proceed to the title of Neokoros, which illuminates the understanding of the God-Emperor from the past to the present, through ancient and classical sources.
