Researching of rationality level in Turkish private sector within the frame of Jurgen Habermas's theory of communicative action

The aim of this study is to reach an estimation for patterns of working relations of –as an example of backward Captalist modernisation due to its geographical proximity and hence having immense historical interactions with advanced Western World, but featuring economic and mental outwardness to it - Turkey's private sector on the basis of recent past within the context of emerging economic approaches and Jurgen Habermas's Theory of Communicative Action and crisis approaches. In the first section overall frame of Jurgen Habermas's philosophy; in the second Jurgen Habermas in business sociology and ethics, in the third relations between communicative action and organizational level, in the forth Turkish economy within the scope of industrial relations, in the fifth an empirical study on the measurement of the rationality level in Turkey's private sector takes place. The study necessitates a synthesis of the forms institutional and social cultures assume through rationalization on values' basis and theoretical business ethics approaches. The intersection domain of these two is 'the working subject' and its interaction with the structure and culture of the institution s/he is in. H.C.Triandis's organizational culture approach plays an integrative role for the two approaches above, functioning as a theoretical linking point. No tendency towards Liberalisation/individuation and lack of legitimation in administration-employee relations of Turkey's private sector in line with instrumental action has been determined.
