Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, especially individuals living in urban living conditions often have to struggle with stress. University years stand out as a period in which individuals encounter new responsibilities and expectations, and therefore experience an intense process of change and adaptation. This transition period is a starting point where individuals may be exposed to high levels of stress. Campuses allow students to make new friendships, escape the stress of daily life, develop social skills and experience a sense of community. These opportunities provided by campuses can improve students' quality of life, positively affect their well-being and strengthen their psychological health. In this context, planning the campus landscape design in line with students' perceptions and needs is an important factor that determines the quality of university life. In the literature review that constitutes the research content, first the concept of stress, theories on evaluating landscape design and Ulrich's Supportive Design Theory were discussed, and then the interaction between stress, campus and young users was discussed. In the research model that constitutes the research content, it is aimed to evaluate whether the stress felt by students decreases with the use of campus open spaces. Quantitative research method was used in the research, which consisted of two stages. In the first stage, study areas were determined through observation and survey study. Then, the effect of campus open spaces on the concept of stress using the survey technique and Likert attitude scale was evaluated with the Supporting Design Theory. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that students' stress decreases and has a positive effect on the use of campus open spaces. In this way, it has been revealed that there is a significant relationship between stress, campus and young users.
