Abstract (EN)

Real-time monitoring of production is gaining importance among industrial companies. The use of industrial automation technologies has become widespread in development of monitoring systems. In this thesis study, design and application of data acquisition system with flexible automation have been realized by using LabVIEW, a visual programming language frequently used in automation technologies, and GLC-386R PLC and TCP / IP communication protocol which is developed and being improved in Turkey. This thesis work was later integrated into the conveyor lines used for wire harness production in Nursan Wire Harness Company. In the thesis study, a server with first interface and a data collection system to monitor wire harness production in real-time, was established by placing one PC, PLC and sensors on each conveyor line. Using the LabVIEW-based interface created on the server computer, production and yield analysis of the plant are monitored in real time according to the collected data from the conveyor lines. With this thesis study, all the production parameters belonging to factory can be recorded instantaneously and the parameters recorded for the conveyor lines can be automatically shared at the end of shifts or manually during the shifts with relevant supervisors. In addition, when there is a decrease in hourly wire harness production numbers, conveyor lines can be intervened immediately with the help of data acquisition from the conveyor lines.
