Comparison of UAV, GNSS and classic measurements in cadastre studies

Abstract (EN)

Survey Engineering is one of the engineering disciplines most affected by technological developments. In recent years, very rapid developments in computer, electronics and software technology have naturally affected the discipline of Surveying Engineering to a great extent. Initially, tachometric measurement and analog graphic sheet production, respectively Electronic Tachometer, then GNSS measurements, and today, cartography activities and cadastral studies are carried out with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) technology. The calculations that were previously made by hand, with logarithm and pons rulers, with great effort, knowledge, and effort, are transferred to the computer environment in the same way today with software that minimizes human error. Similarly, cadastral plots, which were previously converted to astrolon maps one by one, are now displayed on the screen with minimum error and can be saved as a file on our computer. The cadastral data produced in this process had to experience three datum changes, such as the local coordinate system, the ED50 datum and the ITRF datum, respectively. This process, which was briefly summarized above, naturally caused some spatial changes/differences between the data produced with great effort, knowledge, and effort in the past, and the data belonging to the same region produced today due to the applied technology and datum changes. For this reason, there are inevitable differences between the newly produced data and the data previously produced and converted to current datum. The differences between the past data and today's data seen in the cadastral data cause various problems in practice today. The main source of this problem is the fact that the second cadastre covering the whole country has not yet been made with a new technician in our country. In this study, cadastral measurements made by UAV were compared in various aspects with terrestrial measurement methods such as satellite positioning (GNSS) and total station. The existing parcel location information of the application area and the spatial values obtained from the three methods were compared. The advantages and disadvantages of the three methods in practice have been tried to be revealed.
