Al-Qāḍī ʻAbd al-Jabbār's inference by language in the work titled "Mutashābih al-Qur'ān"

This study examines the language use and language-based proofs of Al-Qāḍī ʻabd Al-Jabbār, who is one of the great names of Islamic thought and who came to the fore as the leader of the Mu'tazila sect, which he advocated in all his books on the science of kalam. This great scholar deepened the science of kalam and wrote unprecedented works in this field whose fame reached the east and west. One of these works is the book Mutashābih Al-Qurʼān, in which he made great efforts and defended his theological sect. In this book, he collected all linguistic, rational, religious, and customary evidence and defended his ideas and views with the help of this evidence. With this evidence, he translated the verses of the Qur'an to different meanings in order to be compatible with the views of the theological school. This study aims to reveal Al-Qāḍī ʻabd Al-Jabbār 's uses of language in this book with the dimensions of saturation, syntax, meaning, and context, and to explain whether these uses are in harmony with language logic and data. This goal will be made by turning to the linguistic literature to validate Qadi's linguistic inferences and arguments. It will be made to reveal the views of language scholars on these issues, on which Al-Qāḍī ʻabd Al-Jabbār is based on language and the facts related to it, and evaluate these evidence and inferences of Kadi in the light of language data.
