Abstract (EN)

In this study, social life analysis in the Dîvan poems of Mihrî Hâtun, Leylâ Hanım and Şeref Hanım who are the women dîvan poets of Classical Turkish Poetry is carried out. As we realised that the ?social life? concept includes a wide area in the divan poems of abovementioned poets, we are forced to study under many titles.Among the titles, there is the period in which the poems were created as a result of studies related to social life, and the period before the lifetime of the poets. From the daily lives of people to social and political mechanism of Ottoman Empire, customs and traditions, features of language, concepts and rules related to belief, food and beverage, dresses, tools used in many areas and equipments took place in our study.Even though women poets didn?t come into prominence due to the fact that there were few in Ottoman poetry, it can be said that the poems they wrote were accepted during their lives and later on. This study that we made gave us the opportunity to understand and evaluate the collected poems of women better.With the works of art of Mihrî Hâtun, Leylâ Hanım and Şeref Hanım, who made their efforts in XV. and XIX. centuries, they made great contributions for evaluating the Ottoman Empire Era in a different perspective which is not found in history books. The social life elements which they carry into today constitute a source for us and our successors. In our study, the collected poems of Women Ottoman Poets Mihrî Hâtun, Leylâ Hanım and Şeref Hanım were studied with a social life perspective.Keywords: Leylâ Hanım, Mihrî Hâtun, Şeref Hanım, Dîvan Poems, Social Life, Woman Dîvan Poets, Classical Turkish Poetry.* A kind of Ottoman poetry which was largely inspired by Persian poetry.
