A research on leadership characteristics of women entrepreneurship: Example Batman province

The literature on enterpreneurship and leadership has been the subject of investigation of researchers for many years. Since entrepreneurship has been male dominance for a long time women’s entrepreneurship has not been sufficiently adressed. However, development of tecnology and being easy of access to information and with increase supports entrepreneurship by the state, women have entered more field of entrepreneurship. In this study; entrepreneurship, leadership, woman entrepreneurship and leadership characteristics of woman entrepreneurs in Batman are discussed. The importance of woman entrepreneurship, the contribution of woman entrepreneurship to the Batman economy and the field of employment, woman entrepreneurship promotion and defining the deficiencies in this field, and the effectiveness of the demographic features have been the subject of research. In this research; 211 woman entrepreneurs were interviewed face to face. As a result of the research, it was determined that the women entrepreneurs in Batman highly contributed to both the economy of the batman and the employment. It has been concluded that 80% of the women enterpreneurs are 40 years of age or less. With the incentives in favor of women and increase in education rate, it was concluded that women by taking entrepreneurship education took more determine and brave steps.
