Abstract (EN)
In this thesis research, which aims to obtain the current anthropometric measurements in women's clothing design, the anthropometry technique is included in the first section. In this chapter, the history of anthropometry, areas of use, anthropometric methods, data types, anthropometry techniques such as measurement techniques are mentioned. In the second chapter, clothing design, pattern techniques, information such as clothing comfort, preparation techniques and measurements used in pattern preparation are included. In the third chapter, about between clothing design and anthropometry is mentioned. Anthropometry, clothing patterns and the connections between the two are explained and scientific studies on the field are mentioned. In this research, which aims to determine the current anthropometric measurements of women living in Turkey, 202 women between the ages of 18-65 living in Ankara were surveyed and 35 anthropometric measurements were taken using descriptive method. The analysis of the data obtained with face-to-face survey technique was carried out in SPSS (v.25) program. The reliability coefficient of the research data was calculated at a "good" level of 0.85. In line with the current data of anthropometric measurements used in women's clothing patterns, average values have been determined, average data of current anthropometric measurements according to age range has been revealed, average body types according to age range, body numbers and the size problems women experience in clothing were determined and the current average data of anthropometric measurements used in clothing and the standard size measurements used in clothing were compared. Overall results of the study, the average weight of the women was 70.4 kg, the average height was 1.59 cm, the chest circumference was 98 cm, the waist circumference was 84 cm, the hip circumference was determined as 107.5 cm. It has been shown that women's body sizes do not fit the patterns in the ready-to-wear sector, and most women have problems especially in underwear groups. As a result of the research, current anthropometric data has been revealed.
