Effect of plyometric studies on some physical and physiological parameters applied with cluster set method in women handballers

The effects of plyometric training on some physical and physiological parameters at the end of 6 weeks (3 days a week) by applying traditional set method and cluster set method in plyometric training of female handball players playing in the 2nd League was examined in the aim of this study. A total of 23 female athletes aged 12-15 years, 12 of them in the traditional set group and 11 people in the cluster set group, participated in the study.Within the scope of thesis, traditional set group's physical characteristics (age, height, weight), vertical jump, stopping long jump, T-test agility test, reactive agility test, 10 meters-30 meters speed test, PRAST test, leg force, back force were taken as pre test and post test. SSPS 22.0 program was used for analysing datas. The confidence interval for all statistical actions performed is set to p<0,05. Whether the descriptive statistics found at the end of the study were normally distributed or not was determined by Shapiro Wilk's test. For determining the difference between the pre test and post test results of the groups for variables with normal distribution the paired T-test and Wilcoxon test for those who did not were applied. For the normal distribution of the differences between groups Mann Whitney U test was applied. To evaluate training data, the difference between pretest and post test was taken.As a result, the researched parameters showed a more positive effect on Bk and Prast Fatigue performances compared to cluster set method, traditional set method. Also cluster set method has been thought to be an effective method in the development levels of athletes.
