The issues experienced by female supervisors

Educational supervision was defined as a period of developing teacher's instructional behaviours to improve education orientation and guidance. Education supervisors taking part in education system were not only evaluating teacher's instruction succes but helping them to improve their abilities and so as to adapt them to their job and environment, introduce the developments and innovation and to identify the errors and lack and help to correct them as well. As a result since one of the most important asks of supervisors were 'giving enough help to teachers about solving problems that they encountered' the most import aim of supervision is to give teacher the help that they need. The aim of this study contribute female inspectors' problems that they experienced during their experience, the obstacles they face and the solutions of these problems. This was a qualitative fenomologic study. This study was conducted on 17 female supervisors and the results were examined and interpreted by performing "content analysis". In this study, an interview form exist of 15 questions was used. Finally the interview form was examined by a researcher who was expert on this subject. According to his personal opinion solution advices for female supervisors' problems were determined in different themes. Themes and categories determined by different methods were compared and at the end a single theme was determined. At the end of there search it was observed that the problems that they experienced during their profession could be about gender or not. Problems releated with gender were; gender distinction, men prejudice and slang but it was observed that problems such as local difficulties, teacher prejudice, discipline, working hard and private life were not releated with gender. As a result when the problems of female supervisors, the solutions of these problems and solution suggestions were observed it was concluded that most of these findings were not focused on gender.
