Abstract (EN)
Poverty has grown as an avalanche in the globalizing world and has become one of the biggest problems of humanity. In almost all countries, people fight poverty. But the pressure of poverty is different and difficult in countries that lag behind development. Although numerous policies and studies have been carried out in this way of struggle, poverty, which cannot be completely remedied, has become more modernized and has changed and become widespread. Women and children are at the leading role of the poverty problem. Especially women are those who face many obstacles in order to survive, even while struggling with the problems caused by poverty. The fact that poverty is so sexist has revealed women's poverty. Today, a number of policies and projects that reduce poverty and empower women are implemented for economic development, which is one of the most important goals of the countries. One of these projects is microcredit and it was established to both financially empower women and bring them to the economy. In this study, the role of microcredit in reducing women's poverty and economic development in empowering women was examined. In the first part, the definition of poverty, its causes, measurement methods, the factors that determine women's poverty and women's poverty, the importance of women in the economy, women's struggle against poverty; In the second part of the definition of microcredit and microfinance system in reducing female poverty and its impact on economic development, the impact of microcredit on women's employment and income applied in Turkey were examined in the third section.
