Analyze of violence against women in terms of various factors

This study which aims the analyze of violence against women in terms of various factors is a descriptive research constructed on relational scanning model which is one of the quantitative research methods. For that purpose, the scale prepared to measure the relationship between domestic violence against women and religious attitude, and behaviour was applied to 102 women residing in city centre, possessing various age, education, socio-economic etc. variable factors and declaring to have been subject to domestic violence. While the attendants were being determined, the easily accessible sample technique which is used in quantitative researches was utilized. Data collected in the research was analyzed and findings were evaluated in terms of sub problems. According to the research results, it is established that the majority of the women attending to the research were born and raised in traditional and patriarchal families or were also exposed to violence within the family. Also the physical, social and psychological results that emerge after the exposed violence is establised to appear in women living in large families rather than those living in nuclear family. As a result of the research, as a notable finding, it was also determined that most of the participants were exposed to more than one type of violence. As a result of the research, according to the findings obtained from the women's own ideas and their spouses' ideas on the variable factor of being religious, it was understood that the great majority of the women and their spouses possessed the belief in God, the Prophet and the Hereafter. Correspondingly, it is established that as the religious attitudes and behaviors of the spouses of women increased, the religious attitudes and behaviors of the women increased and as the spouses' religious attitudes and behaviors increased, they commit less violence the women were less affected by the results of violence.
