Abstract (EN)
Aim: This research was conducted to determine the relationship between women's perception of health and their attitudes towards early diagnosis of cervical cancer. Material and Method: The study was descriptive in nature. The study's participants were 5400 women who apply to the Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening, and Training Center in Bingöl's city center in one year. The sample consisted of 358 women, representing a universe of 0.95 at a level of 0.05 confusion with a 95 percent confidence interval, according to the power analysis. With the efforts of the researcher 400 women were reached. For data collection, Descriptive Features Form, Perception of Health Scale and Scale of Attitudes towards Early Diagnosis of Cervical Cancer were used. The data was analyzed using the independent groups t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, analysis of variance, Kruskal Wallis test, and Pearson correlation analysis. Results: The overall mean score of perception of health scale and all subdimensions had a positive relation with the perceived sensitivity and perceived usefulness. However, the perceived disability had a negative relation with the total score of the perception of health scale, control center, and precision. Perceived seriousness and the significance of health and self-awareness had a positive and statistically significant link, whereas the accuracy total score had a negative and statistically significant relationship (p<0.05). Conclusion: While the negative relationship between disability and perception of health scale may have a negative impact on the performance of cervical cancer early diagnosis behaviors, the positive relationship between sensitivity and benefit and perception of health scale may have a positive impact on the realization of these behaviors.
