Abstract (EN)
The attitudes and behaviors of employees are critical for personal achievement and organizational performance in work context where human labor is important. In hotel organizations, attitudes and behaviors of managers and employees are influential on decisions to be taken, on human relations to be created, and on work oriented actions. In this thesis, the aim is to investigate the influence of religiosity on attitudes toward women‟s working, self-loafing and social loafing in terms of hotel employees. Data were collected from touristic hotel employees around Turkey‟s geographical regions by survey technique. Convenience sampling method was used and a total of 828 usable questionnaire forms were used in the analysis. In order to analyse the collected data statistical analysis such as frequency, Independent Sampling T-Test, One Way Anova, and Chi-Square Test were conducted. Due to the findings, in hotel work environment, women are more religious than men; men are more inclined to women‟s working than women; The Black Sea Region is the most religious region than the other regions and these findings are congruent with the previous studies. On the other hand, employees who perceive themselves as "notloafing" seem more religious than employees who perceive themselves as loafers. Employees who rate social loafing as higher also rate themselves as loafers. Employees marked higher social loafing have negative attitudes toward women‟s working. Finally, conclusions and recommendations for researchers and hotel managers were given.
