Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out with samples collected in weekly field studies between April and September 2022, in determined localities in Kahramankazan and nearby districts of Ankara, with the aim of determining the Heteroptera diversity of Kahramankazan and surrounding areas. In the selection of sampling stations, areas with different habitat characteristics were tried to be selected. The specimens were collected from short herbaceous plants using a trap, and those seen on trees, under stones or on the ground were collected by hand or using forceps. In aquatic areas, steel strainers were used. The specimens were fixed in 70% alcohol solution and brought to the laboratory. In the laboratory, the specimens were pinned with appropriate insect needles and shaped into a natural posture, thus turning them into museum materials, and then species identification was carried out with the help of a stereo microscope and identification keys. In the study, 972 adult individuals were examined and species identifications were made. It has been determined that there are 14 families, 60 genera and 83 species of Heteroptera in the region. Among the species, Codophila maculicollis (Dallas, 1851), Apodyphus amygdali (Germar, 1817) and Oncotylus (Oncotylus) punctipes (Reuter, 1875) are new records for the Ankara province. Brief taxonomic information and habitus visuals are included along with the distribution of the species both in Turkey and the world.
