Abstract (EN)
Today investigation of the recycling of industrial solid waste is becoming important investigation field. Coal is still most important energy source in house heating in Turkey. Generally ashes are land filled in the cities and large areas are needed for the land filling.Reuse potential of these wastes in Turkey is very limited and this creates an important environmental problems. In this study, usability of coal ash in light weight construction block was investigated.In the study, milled coal ash used as raw material. Lime has been used as binder. Light concrete examples have been produced by adding silica fume, perlite, accelerator, chemical additives into the mixtures. Into the experiment samples, 7?28?90 days water cure and 8 hours pressurized vapour cure (autoclave) have been implemented.
