Abstract (EN)
The reserves of oil resources have been dramatically decreased. Due to increase the price of crude oil, ıt has been increased the tendency towards alternative fuels. Biodiesel is the most common used alternative fuel in diesel engines. In this research, it has been aimed the production of biodiesel from oil by methanol and catalyst derived from marble waste by transesterification reaction and iron oxide nanoparticles. Inasmuch as biodiesel production it has been performed oil in terms of the rates of methanol molar, catalyst, the amount of catalyst and activity time. As a result of the research, the best yield of biodiesel has been obtained under the condition with the rate of catalyst as 1:15 (CaO: magnetite rate); the rate of oil by methanol molar as 1:15, the amount of catalyst as %2 in 5 hours reaction time. In order to using in the production of biodiesel composition, Heterogeneous catalyst has been extracted from marble waste. Then, marble waste have been calcined at 950 ° C. By the reaction of CaO with concentrated HNO3, aqueous calcium nitrate has been procured. The current substance has been dehydrated to anhydrous Ca(NO3)2. In order to raise the magnetic property to catalyst, Magnetite (Fe3O4) has been synthesized. Under the suitable conditions, the yield of catalyst of calcium oxide-magnetite has been extracted by the component of Ca(NO3)2 with magnetite. The characterization of the catalyst has been set up with using the methods of XRD, SEM and SEM-EDX. As a result of the research, biodiesel has been analyzed with thermal value determination and GC-MS analysis. The result of structured analysis has been compared with the values of diesel derived from the petroleum. This research has been anticipated that the biodiesel derived from oil could make a major contribution to both the environment and diesel fuel.
