Özet (EN)

The procedures for recording the decisions made by Imperial Council (Divan-ı Humayun), the ultimate decision-making mecHânism in the Ottoman Empire, gained more and more importance in parallel with the enlargement of the borders. The Ruûs books recorded by the Ruûs Kalemi, a subordinate body of the Imperial Council, are an important written source enabling us to examine the appointments, covenants and reassignments in the Ottoman Land. In this study, Ruûs Register no. 270 was transcribed and assessed. This Ruûs Register includes the records between AH 1067-1068/ AC 1656-1657. The records involve the grants related to foundation (waqf) officials, kales, higher education institutions, sanjaks, lecturers in local community, apprentices, scholars, stewards, officials of the palace, government officials and palace employees.
