Abstract (EN)
Performance Appraisal is of vital importance, since it is a driving force for human resources and it may optimize benefits of both employees and the organization. For an effective performance appraisal system, employees should be evaluated in correct, fair and efficient manners. In this study, employees of public sector banks, in which performance appraisals had been used frequently in recent years, were searched. Based on the studies in the literature, theories about satisfaction with performance appraisal and justice perceptions of employees were examined in order to set research objectives. A sample of 174 employees of three state banks was chosen, and a questionarrie was adopted by examining questionnarries of previous studies in which their validity and the reliability were already approved. The collected data were evaluated by multiple regression analyses and correlations among research variables. According to the findings of the analysis, the relationships among satisfaction wiht performance appraisal, justice perceptions and the overall job satisfaction were revealed. Comparisons were made between the results of the study and of previous studies; and differences and similarities were interpreted thereafter.
