The analysis of coast-performance in the Public Hospitals Union the study of efficiency-productivity as part of coast-performance analysis: A practice in Bakırköy, İstanbul

The rising of constant competition and advanced level expenses in the health sector have compelled the Public Hospitals, the cornerstone of the enterprices in the health sector, to use their resources in an effective way from this point of view, by identifying their efficiency levels and decreased income in case of ineffectiveness or increased amount of outcomes, the Public Hospitals need to decide what kind of strategies to use to be more effective. In this study, the performance and coast analyzes have been done by doing efficiency and productivity measurement applications of health institutions affiliated with Turkey Public Hospitals Institution İstanbul Bakırköy District The Public Hospitals Union General Secretary, the Ministry of Health, Turkish Republic. With the help of Data Envelopment Analysis Method (DEA) of İstanbul Bakırköy District The Public Hospitals Union General Secretary, the hospitals that are unable to manage the processes efficiently and productively have detected how to change the amount of incomes and outcomes of themselves. In addition, what to do to become efficient and productive and which hospitals to take up references for hospitals that are inefficient and unproductive have been determined. In this context, İstanbul Bakırköy District Public Hospitals Union, with the help of analyses results, has understood that health institutions connected to the Union mostly raised their performances.
